That's awesome! The video shows what to disconnect to access the D board, and will be very helpful.

Step 2 Remove Back Panel
See the 2 screws one for each side holding the cords, I unscrewed these to prevent uneccessary pulling of the wires

Step 3 - Remove BACK PANEL PART 2

This involves tiltin the back panel at about 15 degrees backwards and just pulling it. Aso make sure you have unscrewed the screws from the back panel and the nuts from the 3 tuners and also the white top socket. See previous video.

Hi I m not sure if I have a similar problem with my 5 Year old Sony KD-36XS955 as you did not mention of your problem.

My problem with my Sony TV is with black lines covering the bottom half of the picture where the top part of the picture is "prefect". The lines started 1 or 2 inches from the bottom and increased to 1/2 way after a couple of days. The stand-by light blinks twice and repeats after 5 seconds. Please help with this failure service code means... Thx!

Thanks for the Youtube video. Getting my D-board into the service position was as easy as the video made it look. I was able to fix my 6 blink problem (Sony KV36HS510) by replacing IC8002, only. After reading several posts, it seemed that most where saying IC8002 was the culprit and it was true for me.

My problem now is sliding the carriage back into position. The last 1/4" is tricky. I can see that my push buttons on the front of the TV need to align with the switches on the PC board. Something is keeping me from moving the carriage to the point where the release tabs snap into place. What am I missing.

check the cables as they can easily get caught. Try also lifting the front 1/2 of the bottom TV where the board latches on each side.

I did not have any line on my TV. the problem was it did not want to turn on. The LED was blinking 6-7 times. Sorry for the lack of info.

I have the same model - KV-34HS510 I'm taking it apart right now, and your pictures and videos are great! Thanx!

(Instead of unscrewing the cable holding screws on the back panel, I just took the wires out of the cable ties)

I also had the KV34HS510 with 7 blinks. Thanks for the videos and pictures. They helped a lot. My set is now working after I replaced the 2 IC's. Thanks again.
