View Full Version : Who makes the mini or in-wall equivalent of Fluance speakers?

I'm looking to replace the Bose (blah!) speakers in my living room with a 5.1 or 7.1 setup that's not too obtrusive. In my basement home theater, I went with Fluance speakers and I absolutely love both their terrific sound and value. But for the living room I need something smaller that can either be wall mounted, put in-wall, or bookshelf sized. (I don't mind cutting holes in the walls and ceiling. In fact, I rather enjoy it.)

I just replaced my old Sony receiver (blah #2) with a Harman Kardon AVR 254. I hoped to see some improvement, but the Bose speakers still sound like Bose speakers. (Come to think of it, what did I expect??)

The TV speakers on my Sony KDL-52V4100 are surprisingly good for TV speakers, but I should be able to do better...

Price is important, but somewhat flexible. (That means I'm willing to pay a bit more if there's a significant difference in performance.) Guess I can pay hundreds, but not thousands.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

"The Speaker Company" makes nice on-wall units in their TSAT series and very good in-wall units.
