This is a question I emailed to Monoprice
I am trying to get a 1080 24p signal to my pioneer KRP 600m plasma and advanced audio to my pioneer 74txvi receiver from my panasonic bd 60 blueray player. My receiver will not pass 1080p (only 1080i). Will the (1X2 PRO Series Powered HDMI Splitter (1.3b ATC Certified) ) product accomplish this? Do you know of any capatibility issues?
This is their responce -
Hello Barry how are you? My name is Israel at monoprice tech support, the HDMI splitter is capable of passing both of this signals but if your receiver will not pass 1080p it won't matter you still won't be able to accomplish this. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us thank you.

Whoohoo, it works!
This product is able to split the HDMI out from my Panasonic BD-35 so that one output goes to my reciever (and carries multi LPCM audio), and one output to my Panasonic 50 plasma carries 1080p video.
I had tried another cheaper brand that I bought off ebay, but it was only able to pass stereo LPCM.
I needed the splitter because even though my reciever (JVC rxd702) has HDMI in and out, it only supports 1080i out, and I wasnt down with losing out on the progressive video.
I am VERY happy with this item, and recommend it without reservation. No handshake problems here, thanks monoprice!
Does anyone know for sure if a active splitter will send audio to receiver and allow 1080/24p video to tv.
Thanks in advance,
Barry
