My Remote not working have followed most advice from this forum with no luck. Picture also has a black area that starts about 7 inches on the left side and about 2 inches on the other side on top. This runs the width of TV ANY suggestions

This may be a problem withe the TV instead of the remote. You may want to post your question in the thread for your TV in the Rear Projection Units forum.
