I just bought the URC Lutron dimmer (MRFA-6MLV) and I wanted to program it to my MX-810. I am not an installer so I wanted to get directions on how to do this. I am familiar with the software as I programmed my whole system (project, bluray, receiver) and also did a macro to customize it the way I want.

There are pre-programmed commands in the wizard however when I test it on the software nothing happens on the lights. I did both URC and Lutron for brands with all the model ID's and URC Control #'s and nothing.

I read someone that you have to put a phantom receiver, put it on RF, with channel 0 for the lights under the RF commands. is this true? If so what model ID do I use to program the remote???

need help to how to configure this.

Can anyone pls advise as I am sure someone out there has done this before.

I am having a movie party tomorrow and wanted this to work so please HELP. it would be very much appreciated.

well incase someone is trying to search for the answer I found out how to do it. You have to press the ligth dimmer for 8 seconds until the lights on the dimmer go up and down. then you press the on button on the remote (while in the lights device) simultaneously and it programs itself.

Hi rflores. I also got frustrated when I encountered the several dozen non-descriptive "URC Lighting by Lutron (ID: XXX)" under Chose the Model Number.

I added the one at the top of the list. After sending to the remote, I still was not able to control the lights.

Where did you find your instructions? I tried what you said, but the remote is still not controlling the switch. Pressing the remote's power button (while in the lighting device), seems to make the switch's led blink, but that is all.

Thanks for your help!

Tim

Oh, My dimmer switch is a MRFA-600M-URC-LA

I have the same dimmer.

1. Press and hold the center of the dimmer for 8 seconds.
2. The LEDs start cycling up then down, slowly. Continue to hold the
center of the dimmer down.
3. Press and Hold the ON button on the remote control (while in the Light device) until the LEDs cycle up and down quickly on the dimmer. This confirms that the dimmer has learned the address of the ON command.
4. Release all buttons.

You have to add the device first so that you have the commands already set in the remote. just use the lutron remote ID 1 and you should be good to go.
