Well I went to ceiling mount my projector in my barcade and one of the damn screws broke off. Tried a tweezers and its not fine enough anyone have any suggestions on how I might get this out Im currently using tape to support the side without a screw looks tacky but it work atm.

I would suggest an ez-out, but the hammering required will likely shatter the plastic and bulb.

I think your best bet is to remove the bulb and try to drill the center of the screw out. Take a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the diameter of the screw and start drilling slowly. Be careful not to drill too far and into the actual projector.

Alternatly, you could try drilling a small pilot hole into the screw (to remove the need for hammering) and try inserting an ez-out bit that way. It might catch, it might not.

not sure how deep the screw broke but if it's exposed a tad you may be able to get a dremmel and cut a little slice into the screw then you
Might be able to use a precision slotted screwdrive to back out the screw...know what I mean?

Maybe not mess with the broken screw and instead make use of the 1/4" x 20 'socket'.. plus the other two screws (mainly to keep the machine from rotating)?? Just a thought. BOL, in any case.

I second the dremel approach, done it many times to philips head screws that get stripped. Just dremel a straight line into the top of the screw head(well screw thread in your case) and back it out with a slotted screwdriver.

If you can grab it with a pair of needle nose vise grips then give that a try first.

Where can I get a mount that has 1/4 x20 setup? I tried cutting a slot in the screw and it just broke again when I tried to back it Im getting frustrated anyone got a link to a mount that has the middle screw as well as the outside ones?

Will this type of mount work with my projector http://www.mercantila.com/p/luxor-lspm-universal-small-projector-ceiling-mount
