I was curious to know how many lamp hrs some of you have on your Epson 6500 so far.

I set it up on 4/25, and have about 130 hours on it. About 50/50 high and low lamp, although I now have a Carada BW (118") screen and keep it on low.

More out of curiosity than anything...why do you want to know? (Again, not being rude, just curious).

I guess based on what Epson has posted on their web site that this is a new lamp and is rated at 4000 hrs. I am also curious as to how many hrs are being obtained. It may be too early yet to see any large numbers. Jason, on another subject. I am wondering if I adjust my current PJ ceiling placement to 10 1/2 ft from screen for this PJ, will this be too close for my 104 screen. Will that distance be ok for the 6500.

Drop me a reply.

Tks
Dave

You asked this question in the owners thread and received 2 replies that it would work. Since you won't take their word for it, or check the available online screen calculators, here is a cut/paste from Epson:

Lens and Throw Distance: 2.1:1 manual zoom/focus lens. Will throw a 100" diagonal 16:9 image from 9.75 to 20.8 feet.

If it can throw a 100" image from 9.75', it should easily thow a 104" image from 10.5'.
