I'm having some (what seems like random) issues with my current setup.

Basically, I used to have the 4x1 HDMI switch and that ran with the 880 without any problems. After that died, I bought the 5x1 HDMI switch from monoprice and ever since then the switch will sometimes not get the 880 signal and not switch over to the correct input. This causes me to have to redo the "activity" so that the switch box finally switches over.

I've used the default settings provided by Logitech for the HDX-501 so are there any tips or suggestions on this?

My Monoprice 4x1 HDMI switch is quite picky on IR signal angles (very narrow IMO). I have to position the box carefully so that it can receive IR from my remote.

You can also tweak the setting using trouble shooting section in remote setup to increase or decrease IR command rates for your switch.
