Hi All,
I recently purchased an Onkyo TX905 amp. I connected my PS3 via HDMI cable to the amp, however I picked up the following.
The following 3 scenarios are happening at the moment:
1. If I use a Blu ray, set the PS3 upscaler off, the amp upscaler to 1080p, the Blu Ray plays fine. (PS. I cant see the PS3 menu with these settings)
2. Using the same settings as above, but playing a normal DVD, I don't get any picture or sound.
3. Playing a normal DVD or Blu Ray, but changing the amp video output to "Through" therefore bypasssing the upscaling chip on the amp, I get picture and sound and I can see the PS3 menu.
Now because the amp has a better upscaler than the PS3 I want to be able to use the amp chip rather than the PS3.
Please can someone assist me as to what I'm doing wrong.
