Was given a new dmr ea18 TUNERLESS recorder. I would like to use this unit to download & record over the air tv broadcasts. I do not have cable or satalite.
I use an outdoor antenna, I do have a stand alone atsc tuner (kworld sa-290) which reads ota digital & outputs component & vga signals. As I "now" know the pany dmr ea 18 will not talk to my kworld tuner. The dmr ea18 will also not talk to my tivox converter box (atsc to ntsc). So can anyone tell me how to interface the pany dvr to a digital tuner so as to record ota atsc stuff??

thanks for assistance

Any digital to analog converter box with either a composite or S-video output should work just fine with your EA-18. The Panny doesn't have VGA or component inputs but basically any CECB will work fine. Personally I'd suggest a CM-7000 ~$50 at places like Solid Signal and $10 if you have a $40 govt. coupon. If you hook up the IR blaster you'll be able to use the Panny to automatically change the channels on your CM.
