Anyone know if the 890 refurb on amazon is the pro or not? It shows a silver one in the picture, but then states that it comes w/ the IR extender, which I thought was a "pro" feature...

Am I way off base? Ready to pull the trigger if it's the pro...

Its the other way around the Pro does NOT come with the extender unit in the box, it's an optional accessory. The one offer by Amazon has the extenders and not a Pro model.

I got one of the 890 refurbs a couple of weeks ago. The remote case is scratch-less, it works perfect, and all accessories work and are in mint shape.

New IR stick pads, protective plastic everywhere...

I thought it was going to be in a bit more worn shape, but it is mint as far as i can tell. It got to me in just a couple of days as well. Amazon shipping is always fast.

Anyways, i was pleased, and i normally shy away from refurbs. This was such a good deal i gave it a **** however and am happy to have done so.

I've bought both my 880 and 890 as refurbs from Amazon. They both came in what appeared to be brand new condition, with protective plastic in place and not a single mark. I thought I had read that they had charging issues with the older models, so they may have just added the magnets to the cradle and branded these units refurbs.

$27 659 refurbs from eCost. Now that is a deal!
