I need to make a 14 button sequence - that is to say that I need to press 14 buttons one after the other and would like to use the sequence thingie for my Harmony 890 but al I can do is get it up to 5 button presses

What do you need 14 button presses to accomplish?

so I can run the video pattern on my Pioneer Elite PRO-111FD - it is the thingie that helps reduce or wash away IR/burn-in

it requires 14 button presses and it is a pain to do

I remember a while ago there was a text interface for the Harmony remotes and I could make sequences over 5 for sure - not 14 never tried that much but I did have 8 for a customer at one point

why did logitech remove the orginal text interface and replace it with this crappy software that isnt even able to scale properly for a screen larger than 1024x768, you just get a window that you have to scroll up and down een though I have a 1920x1200 screen

I would try to break it up into teaching the remote in raw mode three 4 button press commands and a 2 button press command. Then you can take those learned commands and add them in as a sequence.

You could create an activity for this and add the 14 commands to the end after you select the "need more control" option. You would have your "Remove IR" activity that would turn on the TV and then execute the 14 commands. At that point you go back to your "Watch TV" activity.

However, the OP's request is silly since burn-in at this point is unlikely on most plasmas. Also, the thread is over half a year old.

I'll try and see. This has nothing to do with Plasmas for me. I'm just trying to do a macro or multiple button press. I'm playing around with RAW mode now.

Let us know if you make out. Prior to sequences some folks were able to get lengthy button presses set up, if I remember way back when some folks had gotten up to 12-13 or so with raw. This should hopefully work a little easier for you, good luck.
