Alright guys well I bought the HD65 instead of going with another DT-510 since I couldn't find one for the price I had got mine at. Well got the HD65 hooked up and after about 2 hours it started this weird effect and it looked like a Max Headroom commercial and it wouldn't detect HDMI for awhile (source lock wasn't on). I tried different cables, inputs, and I tried bypassing my amp.. still the same thing.so I turned it off and let it sit for awhile and when I turned it back on it was gone and worked fine for the rest of the night. I am very disappointed and I am to the point where I am ready to switch back to a plasma. I don't feel like waiting 3 weeks to get it back from Optoma if anything is wrong with it. What do you guys think the problem could be? Also I had stated with my DT-510 that it was my cable box that was causing the problems that I was having, but it turned out not to be.. it was just defective. This blows

Can you go over some of the specifics of what cables you are using, what a/v gear, etc.? Could be helpful in narrowing down what the issue(s) could be.
For instance, if you are using a Comcast Moto 6412 box, hdmi cables, but 480i outbox from the box, there could be handshake issues. Also, others here have mentioned that older hdmi cables might not work correctly, there was mention of some receiver brand that has firmware issues, etc...
Good luck, I feel your pain! :(

I am using the newest HD DVR from DTV, everything is HDMI ran into my Yamaha HTR-6250 and out to the projector. I just replaced all of my HDMI cables because I thought that was the problem. I bypassed the receiver, tried different inputs and it was the same result.. I think that it is just a case of bad luck. I'm PO'ed.. if it happens again tonight there is a good chance that I may punt the damn thing.
