View Full Version : Monoprice Product Suggestion
Monoprice_01 05-21-09, 06:31 PM Monoprice is always trying to meet the needs of our customer by offering products they need most. If there are products that you need that you don't see listed, post a suggestion here and we'll pass it on to our purchasing department for consideration.
Ace of Space 05-25-09, 05:48 PM How about a manual push button 1x2 HDMI switch. I know people have been modifying your manual push button 2x1 HDMI switch(# 2786) for this purpose. I would buy one if it became available.
rwestley 05-30-09, 06:49 AM I would suggest that Monoprice get working on the new 1.4 spec cables ASAP. I would love to see you offer all types of cables that meet the new specifications. It would be great to have you offer them before Monster at a low price.
I wish you guys offered 2 and 3 gang wall plates for Decora style and Duplex. I ended up having to go to Lowes/Home Depot to get what I needed on my last install. Also some kind of small surge protection to go behind the flatpanel when installed would be nice.
Even if you could do your version of the "Power Bridge" for less that would be cool. I don't know what their patent is but maybe you could offer it in pieces, not as a whole kit.
swarm87 06-02-09, 12:03 AM the hdmi 1.4 "super calbes" at reasonable prices. and a 4-rca component/coax combo cable(would be great for my dvr)
and spade connectors for speaker wire for speakers with the binding post without the plug(think theyre called hex posts but i'm not sure.).
KingLeerUK 06-03-09, 12:13 PM I wish that Monoprice had a "power bridge" type product that included a recessed 8x keystone panel.
It would be very similar to Product 4652 (http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=105&cp_id=10425&cs_id=1042505&p_id=4652&seq=1&format=2), but instead of the 1-space integrated low-voltage port, it would have a recessed insert for up to 8 standard keystones.
This would let me route:
1x HDMI
3x RCA component RGB
2x F-connector coax
1x optical audio
1x network CAT6
Having all the connections on keystones just makes everything cleaner.
mrted46 06-03-09, 12:42 PM HDMI 4x4 Matrix and a Component Matrix (4x4)
Also, more baluns. You have HDMI baluns at great price but people also need RCA (stereo), component, vga, usb baluns as well.
High quality Speaker Stand that are able to hold up RTI6.

In the meantime this may work for you http://sewelldirect.com/2x1-or-1x2-HDMI-Bi-Directional-Switch-with-HDCP-Passthrough_specs.asp?source=froogle&utm_source=Froogle&utm_medium=cse. It's bidirectional so it can be used either as a 1X2 or a 2X1 switch.
KingLeerUK 06-08-09, 12:37 PM HDMI keystones (white and black)
Toslink Optical keystones
1/8" stereo jack keystones
Speaking binding post keystones (non-solder type)
HDMI is too large for keystone jack
Monoprice obviously has the materials to make this as people are making a simple mod to the 2X1 switch. The available powered version costs twice as much and will leach power.

Monoprice,
I am surprised you do not make any kind of speaker selector. I always go to you first for all my installation needs but I do not see any speaker selectors or volume controls. Would go well with your in-ceiling speakers for multi-room audio.
Valentin- 07-06-09, 07:36 PM How about selling RapidRun hdmi cables?
swarm87 07-24-09, 10:19 AM xantech dinky link(or similar generic) ir repeater that can plug into a/v recievers
ThomasAquinas 07-24-09, 02:22 PM 30ft hdmi cable spec 1.3
6x6 hdmi matrix that works
BIGmouthinDC 07-25-09, 12:26 PM A sub-woofer management box for those of use with multiple sub-woofers. One LFE input but multiple outputs, Volume controls and phase controls for each output would be a plus.
