I’m about to encapsulate the rear end of my G70 in order to extract the exhaust via an inline fan. I think I’ve got a fan with sufficient throughput but just in case, I thought I’d sample some temperatures before and after. To that end I’ve obtained four small fish tank thermometers (digital display). The question is where to site the probes within the G70? I’d considered one behind the DC (convergence) board, one very near the B board (RGB input) and the remaining two outside the G70 immediately behind the PSU and the main exhaust. Any other suggestions for alternative siting?

I think the tubes and ps are the two most heat sensitive areas. That is where most of te fans are. The other fans are to remove the heat.
