hello,

I am looking to replace an old and rather small sub. My HT room (none dedicated) is about 360 Sqf and is a perfect rectangle. Sub will be placed next to the coach. Front speaker Boston Vr2 et VRC, surround 4 Boston Micro. Amp Arcam AVR 300, blu-ray and dvd player. I have hardwood floor. I listen concert and movies, loves "accoustic" sounds and i need a small foot print for my wife... 15-16 Inch cube more or less. I have looked at SVS 12 plus and Epik vanquish which are about in the same price range...
Please let me know what could be my "best" option and any other recommendations you may have.

Thanks in advance.

Consider the subs from Rythmik Audio.

The F12 would fit your size constraints and desire for tight bass. The F12SE is gloss black for high WAF.

You might consider the D15SE for extra output, but somewhat taller than your goal.

All of these fit within the budget you appear to have.

thanks so I guess I would add a 3rd one to the list :)
On the site there is a F12 and a F12 G I guess with a different cone ? What should be my best pick if I go for rythmik ?

I'll defer to those who know better for that description. If you opt for the SE finish it does not come with the GR driver.

Maybe ask in the Ascend Subwoofer thread (they sell the Rythmiks) or PM rythmik (Brian Ding, the guy who makes them) or cschang. They may well show up here in your thread.

btw. I just ordered an F12 and can hardly wait.
