For the past 8 months or so I'd been getting the "Lamp may fail soon" message, but wanted to see how much life I could milk out of it. Then about 4 months ago it started overheating, which I remedied by leaving a fan blowing on it.

Yesterday I decided to take the bulb out and blow out all of the dust, and after putting everything back together she just won't ignite. Re-seated it a number of times, but no dice.

Sooo, now I'm faced with the decision to invest the ~$300 for a new bulb and call it a day, or go ahead and upgrade to something more current.

When I bought the H30 way back when it was one of the leaders for Price\Performance ratio in the cheap projectors. I'd want to find a similar deal with whatever I chose to upgrade to.

So, with that being said, what would your recomendation be for a <$1500 projector with a lot of pop and wow (like the H30 had). My screen is a 120" (when pulled down for 4:3) Hi-Power.

Thanks In Advance.

HD65, AX200U or Epson 720 would be my choices. I recently sold my H31 and replaced with a HD65 refurb for a grand out of pocket total of $200. Not bad I'd say. Looks great! Im from canada though, so not sure if you can order one or not.
