I currently have a SONY VEGA 1080i TV KDF-42WE655 in my bedroom. My wife would like a flat panel instead because the sony takes up a lot of space on top of our dressers, but if the switch isn't worth it over space then we won't do it.

Looking at Panny 42 Plasma - http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=9219213&type=product&id=1218061795104. We have a 50PZ85U in the living room and love it so we want to stick with Panasonic. Our budget is $700-$750.

Since the Sony is 1080 and the Panny is 720, we would like to get peoples feedback on if we should keep the Sony or go with the Panny.
