Just wondering if anyone has seen both of these in action (preferably calibrated) and could compare the picture quality?
I've read reviews on both and I'm leaning towards the Sanyo for it's flexibility and warranty but I don't want to compromise quality of picture for convience. From the pictures I've seen a few pics on here making the HD65 look amazing but few of the Sanyo...I know that there are outside influences which could effect quality of the pictures (better camera...etc).
So, does anyone have experience with both that could let me know which they liked better. I'm leaning towards the Sanyo for the warranty but they both seem to be solid PJs.

I have used HD65 and Sharp DT-510. DT-510 is quite better than HD65, imho. I just ordered Sanyo Z60 and will get it in a week's time. I can provide more feedback once I get the Sanyo.

That'd be awesome. I'm probably going to end up getting the Z60 friday ($100 mail-in-rebates end the 31st) unless somebody posts negative things about the Z60.

I got the z-60 about a month ago. I'm very pleased. I was coming from th z1 though. So the differance is quite amazing. Don't know anything about th
hd65. I liked the shapness of the z60. I have a totally light controled room and throwing up a 100' image at 11". For the money I am in awe of it. Got it for $700 ish with the rebate. Six years ago paid about $1500 for the z1, and the z60 is light years better. Another satisfied Sanyo ower!!!

I've had my Z60 for about two months now and I'm very pleased with it. I have already put major hours on it since we use it for all our tv, movie, and video game purposes.
The unit was super bright right out of the box but has noticeably dimmed after the first month. In a light controlled room it still looks fantastic and I run it at 50% lamp power to make up for the major hours I put on it. Great colors and details.

Just setup my Z60. First impressions - not as good as Sharp dt-510 but better than optoma hd65.
Any recommended caliberation settings?
