ok, well got the subs narrowed down..
svs pb12
hsu The VTF-2 MK3
now one is front, the other down. i have hard wood floors.
fronts are def techs, clr 2300 center bp2006 mains.
room is pretty big cathedral ceiling. 14' deep 28' wide.
sub will go between main and center.
should i be concerned with either front or down, or just toss a coin between the two. ..?????????? leaning towards the hsu.

doesn't matter. i'd add the Epik Sentinel to your list though. people keep comparing it to the pb-12, but the Sentinel is a lot cheaper.

Nope, pick the sub you think will work best for you regardless and those are both excellent choices. With that placement either will work great. The only time to have a concern front and down firing is if the placement options might not give the speaker or port enough clearance.

I think he's talking about the PB12 NSD in which the Sentinel is not much cheaper but quite a bit more. What your referring to is the comments between it and the PB12 Plus.

IMO, front firing is cooler, because you can see the woofage jiggle...And you ca really feel the wind blow with proper excursion.
