A few weeks ago we got our brand-new Kuro PRO-151FD calibrated - Barry VanDenBerg (Orlando Digital TV - ISF Calibration) did an awesome job and we really enjoy this plasma even more now.

We're just wondering, Pioneer has a new April/May 2009 firmware update (http://www.pioneerelectronics.com/PUSA/Support/HomeEntertainment/PlasmaTVs+Monitors/EliteTVs/ci.PRO-151FD.Support?tab=B) on their website, will it erase the ISF settings in the Kuro? Does anybody know?

It shouldn't, I know the previous firmware update did not.

I updated my pro-111fd last night with the new firmware and all of my settings stayed the same.

it shouldn't matter what you used to calibrate it...the settings are saved the same way inside the tv so it should stay the same too.

FIRMWARE UPDATE does NOT change any of your settings or calibration modes.
I've installed this UPDATE and all my iSF calibration etc did NOT change. The only thing that changesis:

Shortens time to tune to specific channels which otherwise are slow to tune.

Correctly stores channels after performing Channel Scan.

Correctly displays programming information on the Channel Banner when using the television tuner.

I can also confirm that updating the firmware did not change my professionally calibrated settings. I viewed the settings in ControlCAL before and after the update and there was not a single change.

BTW, I used the USB drive Pioneer sent to me to do the update.

Just for you all to know I did the firmware upgrade yesterday and everything went fine plus the ISF Day and ISF Night calibration settings are still there :)

Thank you to the posters for the help!
