Last year i bought a second hand AV34WP84 really cheap. I tried the DVI connector but i couldn't get it to work and since i needed some longer cables i bought a component cable and used it with my radeon 3870 to get a nice 720P image .

A month ago i bought a new laptop and sold my old computer, i ordered a HDMI -> cable and recieved it last week. Plugged it , my computer recognizes the TV (correct name) but no picture. I checked the hdmi cable and it's working fine with another monitor.

One thing that bothers me is that there is no hdcp link (nvidia drivers show the status) the jvc manual indicates the tv does support it.

I tried a VGA-> component cable but i can't get that to work either ( not sure my 9600M can do that).

Any idea why it isn't working correct? I tried windows vista and windows 7.
