If you had about 12 remote controlled dimmers and 8 relays, along with a 15 scene keypad, how would YOU make use of the equipment?

I have some free gear that I am looking to maximize my usage of.

Looking for ideas and suggestions... (this is with regards to a dedicated home theater room that is at the wood framing stage)

Hmmm. That's a lot! I amde use of just 6 dimmer/relays and 4 scenes pretty wel. Ac ouple more scenes for different levels of dimming wouldn't hurt, though.

With that many dimmers, instead of zoning your lights (I have zones for track lights, back sconces, front sconces, rope light, and light in lobby by equipment room) you could almost spare a dimmer for each individual light (or pair) to give yourself a ton of flexibilty. I use a relay to trigger an exhaust/ventillation fan when I'm in the room (although there are other ways to trigger the same thing). I suppose if you had a motorized screen or curtains those would be other uses. Even in a dedicated room, having curtains in front of the screen that automatically opened at the start of a movie would be pretty cool.

I'm sure others will chime in with more uses!
