Hello everyone.
I have purchased the afore-mentioned DVD player online and have set it up to a digital television set. For at least three days it worked perfectly and with an amazing picture.
However, on day four two serious problems occured.
1) Upon activating the unit, I am given a plain blue screen, as opposed to the "DVD-RAM" screen which would normally always be there. However, this now only appears after I have stopped a DVD i've been playing. But then if I press the stop button on the remote twice, the screen goes back to blue.
2) While I am viewing a DVD, the remote controls' Direct Navigation function refuses to work. All I get is the "no entry" symbol flashing in the corner of the screen.
Instead, if I want to get access to the dvd menu (subtitle options, scene selection etc), I have to do it via the system set-up, a pretty long winded way of doing it.
The unit is connected to a Grundig digital screen via a scart lead. I did wonder if adding an HDMI lead would make a difference, but then again the system did work fine for a while.
If anyone knows a solution, or could tell me where I am going wrong with the set-up, I would be most grateful to hear from you.
Many thanks.
