Just L1, L2, L3 and the SD slot. cbrillow 06-07-09, 07:42 AM Can somebody explain what it means to "label the inputs" in this context? DigaDo 06-07-09, 10:28 AM Can somebody explain what it means to "label the inputs" in this context? I suppose there are a variety of labeling schemes. I kept unused sticker sheets from my videotapes. I remember what inputs are in use for the various machines so I don't usually label inputs. One of my Panasonic DMR-ES15 models had a bad tuner so that machine was labeled "LINE IN." In order to illustrate labeling of several machines in the main stack of my home office I am attaching a photo I just snapped. I label some machines as to their primary purpose. The three lower machines (a Magnavox 2160, a Panasonic DMR-EZ28 and DMR-EZ17) are labeled "TCM" as they are dedicated to recording from Turner Classic Movies. The Panasonics, and their remotes, are labeled with number stickers to indicate the machine/remote code to which they are set. The silver Panasonic remote labeled "3" controls an (unseen) DMR-ES35V below the table. The DMR-EZ28 also carries a "P" sticker indicating that it is set up as the "player" for occasional disc to disc dubbing of selected portions of unfinalized DVDs. The Philips 3576 (second from the top) hasn't been labeled but is set up cable-ready. Westly-C 06-07-09, 11:15 AM Can somebody explain what it means to "label the inputs" in this context? If the EH50 is a hdd model with TVGOS, then he may want to know if you can assign a name to the inputs so that when you turn to one, it will show the input's name, the same way the names of the other channels are displayed (like CH 30 TNT, or whatever) onscreen in the square box window in the upper corner. Church AV Guy 06-08-09, 01:43 PM My television has the ability to label the inputs, so line1 is called DVD, and when you have selected it, and press info, it says L1 DVD. Component 1 is DVR. There are a number of possible "labels" I can assign to each input, and since there are two RF inputs, there are selections like CABLE and ANTENNA. Maybe that is what he was thinking when he wanted to know if labels were possible. When looking that the top menu, it would say CABLE or DVR on the titles as a source. |
