my E80H is still working like a charm; however, i just upgraded to HD and lost my old dvr and now have a directv HR23; there are only componet outputs and no composits; the only sound out is digital. there is an s-video output but i cannot figure out how to dub from it now. Do any of you have any suggestions on how i can continue record and archive old movies now with this recorder; and if not, are there any recorders with hard drives that would work? I do have the new magnavox but i think i am in the same boat with this also.

"duh" on my part; just checked again and you are right; it was dark last night and i thought i only saw component; thanks a lot; you just made my day good again; i am gonna ride this panny to the end; best thing i ever bought (except for my 05 mustang gt vert).
