I found 3 tubes in my dad’s garage, (RED, Blue, Green) They all seems to be from a barcodata 701 fts projector. They all have liquid inside the tube, top part. Is these normal?. I wish to sell them but I don’t know much about it. Thank you…

It's normal for projection tubes to have cooling fluid chamber in front of faceplate.

In some Sony tubes there is used colored glycol as a color filtering in red and green tubes.

Blue phosphorus have good shade off blue without color filtering. Same thing with all other projection tubes.

This will give you an idea of why there is tinted glycol in the tubes.

Its a coolant to keep them cool. It wears out eventually just as any other coolant would like in a car.
