Hello,

Please advice me what should i do. My DVDR does not start. It only shows up on the dispay message "Starting.." and the light Hdd Active is on (this even when my hdd is removed) and only a white screen with the logo Philips shows on my tv.
I whant to mention that i connected the HDD to my pc and formated it.
Now what i want to ask is if i need some driver for my DVDR3595H copied on the hdd ? or what should i do next ?
Thank you all.

Since you're in Romania with a different Philips than the North American (N.A.) model, remedies might also be different than our experience.

First thing is I'm not sure if formatting the HDD on your PC made it unrecognizable in the 3595.

IF it's still recognizable, you could try one of the N.A. SKIP code that does a HDD/DVD Self-Check to see if the HDD is still recognizable... assuming your 3595 remote control has a "SKIP" button or other button used to Skip fwd when playing a title.

Here's the procedure (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showpost.php?p=12355769#079) but with a caution that there's no guarantee it'll work the same in your 3595 or on a PC-formatted HDD.

The procedure is in two parts: 1st, the Self-Check, then 2nd the Formatting. You won't be able to do the 2nd part, Formatting, if that SKIP code doesn't work for the 1st part, the Self-Check.

If the HDD is recognized and checked, you could then format it for use in the 3595 as described in that linked procedure.

WORST CASE: The HDD should be easily replaceable, as described in that linked procedure, so you could find and install the same type HDD and format it as described farther down in the linked procedure, and you should be good to go... again, assuming the 3595 is similar enough to the N.A. Philips!?
