As the title says, sonystyle and brochure says this is hdtv w/1080i native and other sites list it as sdtv w/480i native. Why the conflicting info?

My guess is the tube displays at one resolution, 1080i. 480i sources are upconverted to 1080i. ATSC channels received as 1080i are displayed as 1080i. In this case the TV truly is an HDTV. One thing is very clear, the TV can only tune in off the air digital (as well as NTSC which goes away this Friday, June 12). The digital tuner cannot do clearQAM which is the cable standard.

To my best knowledge FS series were SDTV and HS series were HDTV.
