Does anyone know of where I can get my hands on some blank HD DVD-RW media of any brand? It doesn't matter where it's located in the world, just as long as it's available. :p I can easily find HD DVD-R media but not the HD DVD-RW (re-writable) type. I've got a drive that is compatible with rewritable HD DVD media (SD-L912A) so I'd like to take advantage of it if I can. Thanks much!

I am not sure that the RW discs ever shipped.

I think I recall seeing the pre-release packages in Japan but I never saw an actual disc.

In any case, Japan is your best bet I think.

Yeah, Japan is probably your only hope; blank HD DVD-Rs in the USA are getting scarce and they're not exactly cheap.

Yes I too saw those also on Yahoo Japan the other day but about as far as I can get is translating the page with google. :mad: No way to setup an account on there it seems without knowing Japanese well. :-)

The prices seemed very reasonable on Yahoo Japan and if you can get some somehow from there or anywhere I would be willing to go in on some with you, maybe others too would do the same? Let me know if you can somehow swing something.

Wow that would be awesome being able to find someone who could at least be able to contact this seller on Yahoo Japan, I saw that this seller we are talking about has 90 pieces of RiTek HD DVD-RW media for sale, it was pretty cheap actually, I'm sure we don't need 45 of them each but 10-20 each would be nice. I wonder what the shipping would be via the Postal Service from Japan? Having a friend located in Japan who is fluent in both Japanese and English would probably be the ultimate, unfortunately I don't know of anyone. :-(

Good friend, I was talking to my friend from Japan and I could actually buy 5 pieces HD DVD-RW RIDATA brand, told me that we do not have time to contact the seller and that is not Japanese but rather lives in Japan and speaks Japanese well, anyway I would like to try to get some Ritek pieces and put them on ebay for people who have the Toshiba SD-L912A, and are not able to buy those discs anywhere.
