Old Panasonic audio problem.

I have an old 1992 Panasonic CTP-2764S chassis AREDP204 that has an audio hum.
The noise is always there in both speakers and in the background and when the volume is turned down.

I have changed the 12 volt input filter caps on the audio output board but that did not help. The audio runs through three different boards so this chassis is not easy to back trace.

Hoping someone has a repair world account and could check for any repair tips.

Th3_uN1Qu3 do you have any tips or advice?

Thanks
Ron

I have a general tip: Does the picture have any rolling bands or side sway to it? If so, check the main filter capacitors. Also, check for poor solder at connectors. I had a hum in a Mitsubishi and it was fixed by adding a ground wire to beef up ground traces. I have a Sharp 27" set that hums like you describe, and all's well with its parts, adding ground did not help.

Jdre thanks for the reply I will try replacing the main filter caps and try extra jumper wires on the grounds. I have already resoldered the most of the chassis but will recheck it.

Yes there is the possibility that the audio is being corrupted out of the tuner on jungle chip.
