I found an SACD player in my garage (a Samsung HD941 as it were), and I'm about to buy my first SACD. I have some NOOBie questions:

1) If the disc is a hybrid, do I have to use the video monitor and DVD controls to "select" SACD playback as opposed to the other formats each time I put a disc in?

2) Does the player send the multichannel output via HDMI, or must I use the multi-analog outs?

1. Depends on your player. You may have to go into its menu and set a "default".

2. I don't think your Samsung will allow the DSD content of a SACD to be send over HDMI.
