Hello, great forum. I am looking at either the TC-P50G10 or PN50B650 for use with my PS3 and PC. Can anyone comment on how good PC text looks at 1080p on either of these sets. I currently have a TH-50px80u and text looks terrible on that (due to the 720p res and no overscan adjustment). This is now my bedroom set. I just bought a Samsung LN50B650 lcd but am returning it due to serious input lag when not in game mode plus my overall preference for plasma picture.
Any input will be much appreciated. Thanks.

I have a 58B650 and text looks great over the hdmi port on my laptop. It's very crisp.
Ideally you should go to a b&m store with a laptop that has an hdmi port and a wire and try for yourself.

Thanks. Unfortunately my laptop is old and will not output 1080p res :( Have you noticed any input lag? I tried to play Hot shots golf (PS3) on the LN50A650 LCD (I have the A not the B as previously posted) outside of game mode and it was unplayable. Unfortunately game mode is too sharp looking for my liking and you cannot make any picture adjustments. It played fine on my panny 80u in all modes.

Oh, and have you noticed a difference in text using the HDMI 1 port rather than HDMI2/DVI port as specified in the manual. Also, is it similar to the lcd where if you rename the port as PC the text becomes much clearer?

I really haven't played with it that much. Only tried on input 1. All my components go through my hdmi switcher to input 1. I didn't notice any lag, but don't take my word for it.
All I can say is that the quality of text at 1366x768 and 1080P satisfied my computer to plasma needs 100%.
Maybe you can get the people at the B&R to get you a laptop to try with.
