Hi, I am going to buy my 1st plasma in my life. :D

Mainly for watching movie

viewing distance would be about 7 ft

my living room is dim because of the blind, some lights do leak in though cause' the windows are pretty big.

May sometimes connect to my laptop if the exp is pos've

May watch some nba if the antenna works well to receive free signal over the air.

I am considering the PN50B530 or PN50A650 right now, only 100$ difference.

2 question I have on my mind:

1) can ppl really see the difference with the 24p? (If so, then I would consider to go with A650)

2) how much is the image improve from A series to B series, is it very noticeable? (If a lot, then i would consider to go with B530)

Thanks for taking time to read and response. :)

For sure I will go to some stores and check, but want to get your advices before I go there ;)

THANKS!

I'd get the newer model myself. I saw a B530 and an A650 nearly side by side in the store and after watching for a while I began to appreciate the better blacks of the B. It seemed noticeable, even in a store environment. The B series also uses quite a bit less power.

I actually much prefer the charcoal TOC on the 5 series as well.

Hopefully someone who owns one or the other could comment.

I work in a TV/Computer store and I bought the PN50B530 last friday and I got to say that this set is just amazing! you do not have the ethernet port on it, but who wants to use their TV remote to play some flash games anyway? I just got my pc hooked up on it and xbox 360 and it works like a charm!
