I was just checking out the specs on these two sets and i was surprised to see the thinner 54V10 weighs more than the 54G10. According to specs listed at Clevland Plasma, the 54V10 weighs 112 lbs and the 54G10 is 90 lbs. That seems strange to me.

That seems strange to me.You should always get your specs directly from the manufacturer, not from retailer's websites where source information may be inconsistent.

The Owners Manual for these two TVs list the weight of the TV only (without the stand) as 83.8 lbs for the 54G10, and 86.0 lbs for the 54V10. That sounds about right since the V10 has a wider/taller and thus heavier outer glass than the G10 does.
