Hi All

Im have a TVIX 6500a running the latest firmware 1.2.52. If I play and mp3 and then turn off the tv (as the unit has its own display to navigate with) then the playing file begins to skip and so will any consequent tracks. Im passing the audio to an amp via optical link so I cant see how any electrical interference via hdmi can upset the player.

Does anyone have any ideas on this?

Probably handshaking, since you interrupted the HDMI connection. Try it without the TV in the loop at all. (However, the TViX is primarily a video streamer.)

You might ask in the main M-6500 thread here. It's hard to miss.

I think you may have just hit the nail on the head there. I just tried the TVIX without the tv and turned it on during playback and sure enough it starts the interuption. Ah well looks like its back to the cd player for now.
