I've searched through a bunch of posts and found similar problems, but nothing quite the same. Fist of all the HDMI port doesn't work, shows very green or no picture depending on the device. I talked to a repair person and he said it was likely the main board which is so expensive its not really worth fixing. I just used component cables and life goes on... The main issue now is a bit more severe. Through the component cable (XBox 360) the picture will freeze and the TV is unresponsive. The picture will eventually turn black, then the TV resets, shows "component 1" and works for a few more minutes. With a coax straight in I get a loud clicking and anything from a frozen picture to weird lines. I tried blowing dust out and reseating the lamp, neither did anything. Any thoughts?
Sounds like the dmd board if the screen gets lines, that's one of the symptoms of the board going out. If you can post a pic, that would help. Check the link for others with dmd board issues, the problems may not be exactly the same as yours, but dmd board failure can present different problems in different sets.

its going to be a digital pcb problem.
it would help to have the complete model & vers # located on the sitcker on the right side of the unit in order for me to give you a replacement part number.
