Yes, I know that you did not pay for it and there is no way they are going to give to you for free. The idx/sub uses bitmaps. Has no knowledge of any language or character set. There is some blinking some times but not really a problem. I run the last stable release FW and have never had any problems using my WDTV other than those caused by bad rips and my own stupidity. If I was having as many problems with mine, I would just get rid of it somehow and buy one of the several that are advertised here. Problem solved (maybe). I was amazed how small it is it is about 1/3 the size of WDTV. It can do DVD's manu, Have a Preview of the movie when you select it.
