I've read the only worthwhile controllers for vintage NES game console was the original regular square one by Nintendo and the Zapper gun (the glove, dance pad, and ROB robot were all panned in the review, while the Zapper was said very cool).

Does Zapper gun work on CRT rear projection TV's?
Mine is Hitachi model 65F59.
Reason I ask is I noticed this at an Ebay auction:
:confused::confused:
"Please be advised: The Zapper Guns will not work on Plasma, LCD, or Projection screen televisions. If you have any questions about this, please do not hesitate to email before purchase".

The Zapper works on your wii sensor bar. Has nothing to do ith display tech.

No, the Zapper is the name for the gun you used for Duckhunt and other shooting games, while the Wii sensor bar is for the Wii. He's talking NES, like, 1985.

And for the record- R.O.B. was awesome. Just no games actually used it.

And the Track & Field Pad was pretty cool too. But I guess Wii fit kind of replaced that. But you can do two player on the Track Pad.

I can't be 100% sure, but I'm pretty sure we played duck hunt on my dads old CRT rear projector.

Thanks, all.

A modern PS3 console has always worked fine on my 65" Hitachi RP CRT HD.

But I now have an old school Nintendo 1980's NES 'toaster' coming in the mail and will post here regarding the Zapper gun which these came with.

Turns out that vintage NES zapper gun does not function on 65" RP CRT Hitachi, but does fine on my little 27" direct view CRT TV.
