Alright,

I have a monitor that was installed by the previous owner of my house.

It is in wall and was used for surveillance.

I want to get some use out of it but do not want to put an entire laptop or computer in the closet behind it.

So, is there a device that can read memory cards and output VGA? I figure I can use it as a large video frame or something.

Anyone know of something that might work?

The Elektron EHP-606 has VGA output. However, it does not have a card reader. You could, however, use a USB card reader and connect it to the Elektron. You could copy your pictures and movies to a USB flash drive. Or, you could install a hard drive in the Elektron and copy all your media to it.
