So I can swap my WD-73835 for a WD-73837 on a lemon warranty. I had been holding out for the 82, but it seems that they are going to be slow to release the 82837. Worst Buy seems to think that they will only be getting the 82737.

I am worried that I will be disappointed with a 737 set having gone from a 835. What do you guys think? Should I just wait and get the WD-82737 and glory in the 82-inches of home theater madness?

Wait... what?

I'm confused just reading that. :p

Are you trying to decide between taking the 73-inch 837 series today... or waiting to get the larger 82-inch 737 series later?

If that's correct... is your main concern the difference in PQ between 737 and 837?

If it was me, I'm all over that 82737.

Yes. Get the 73837 today or wait and get the 82737, but also the 82 will cost me 1000 more or 2000 more for the 837 . I also want to know if the 837 is better than the 835?

Only a select few men can say they have 82 inches. :D

Sure, the 837 gives you a couple more features and improved black level performance, but the 737's performance is nearly the same for significantly less money. And in this case, it would be bigger too.

I feel confident saying there's not a '09 TV on the market with better bang-for-buck than the 737. It's a fantastic value. The 837's extra features are nice, but they are very expensive by comparison. If money is no object, then get the 837. (Why not.) But in terms of which TV is the best *deal*... I feel the 737 for sure.

From everything I've read, the 837 replaces the 835, and the feature set is the same. Mitsubishi says they have improved and tweaked those features though, so I would think the performance would be a little better than last year.

You get day/night calibration settings with the 837 and nowhere else (not 737, not 835). I haven't felt the lack, but some people might think that was nice. Personally, I wouldn't trade 9" for it if I had enough room to put the bigger set.

Given that choice, and considering the seating room in my house, I'd go for the 82.

It would crush the rest of the family... :D

The Home Theater Store is showing the WD82737 in stock. So is Digital Craze for a little bit better of a price.
