Well my mom called and said she heard a loud pop in her Sony KP 61XBR300 and now no picture. There's sound but no picture.

Anything I can do short of calling a repair person out to trouble shoot this? I'm afraid the picture tube blew out. It has a picture tube right? lol

Except the model in question doesn't have a lamp because it's a crt rptv.

That's a pretty old model repairs are gonna run $250 and up. Not very likely there's a diy solution on this one.
