Hey there!
I've had my W500 for about 6 months, and I recently ran a calibration using the DVE Bluray.
I found that during the overscan test that my overscan is just brutal. It either seems to be full pixel, or almost into the 5% action area.
I also noticed when doing the sharpness that it seems to have convergence issues, however, I understand this is par for the course with an LCD - it's not my first projector, and I imagine it won't be my last.
Does anyone know of a way to get into the service menu? I see that there is a request forum, for Bruzzi's forum - however, the forum seems to have been down a while now.
I have been searching google for a week now and it almost seems fruitless
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Greetings
Convergence is done manually on budget lcd projectors if there is no control in the user menu. Open it up and move it by hand.
5% is called the safe action area for a reason. CRT sets routinely shoot for 5%. Use full pixel if you don't want overscan.

Cool, Cool..
I wouldn't mind getting in and tweaking under the hood. I did the convergence manually on my older projector, with great success.
I would still love to get into the service menu to see what goodies are there - perhaps more granular control for overscan, or gamma adjustments.
Would anyone happen to know the service menu code for the w500?

Holy crap! I cracked into this projector - carefully, slowly, patiently - and there's no way I have the balls to adjust those panels.
I opened the baby up, and the board is on the top, covered with some kind of grounding plate - I carefully unscrewed it and exposed the circuit board, and found the three flat cables that drive the three lcds running through the board towards the lcds. And, right under the board, what looks like the adjustment screws to move the panels.
I looked at the amount of screws, plastic snaps, the handful of cables, the board I would have to remove, how I would have to rig it together haphazardly to actually adjust the convergence - and promptly put the lid back on. Call me a pussy, but bad convergence might suck, but so does a broken projector.
Maybe I'll make another attempt at a later date if I can find a service manual for this projector. Going any further down the road I was on sounded like disaster.
While I'm at it, begging for service codes, does anyone know where I can find the service manual for the W500?
Thanks!
This is for a different Benq model. I don't know if it will be the same for yours. It's been forever since I've done a Benq, so I won't be of much help figuring things out. I hope you've read all the service menu warnings. Anyway, here it is:
Open the Menu and press Power On (Green). The menu should dissappear and the osd in the bottom right should turn red. Press menu again and you should have some different options. Do the same to switch back.

No luck, I'm afraid..
I've tried that, as well as another common code I've found, which is menu, up, down, up, down, menu.
I appreciate the suggestions though.
