Yes, this is true. But considering that most 500gb drives are under $100 anyway it's not really a big issue...unless you want a much bigger drive or a SSD.

I never wait more than 2-3 days total and the stuff is on my door, its almost always cheaper too. I guess it does help that I only live 2 states over from them.

Newegg gets the package on its way the same day it's ordered, at least for me, and I never have to wait more than 2-3 days (I'm in Maine, too).

Amazon rarely ships the same day unless you're a Prime member or select one of the more expensive shipping options. My experience using the cheapest shipping method from both: Newegg beats Amazon every time.

That's debatable. I've NEVER had anything take more than 3 days to get to me from Newegg in the 8+ years I've been buying almost exclusively from them. Amazon orders are usually as good too, especially with a warehouse right down the road in Chicago, but I've been left hanging where they have taken a week just to process my order, let alone ship it. Then again, I am a Newegg Preferred member where I am NOT an Amazon Prime member. Maybe...???

Either way, the anti-Newegg bot is mostly full of it...

Newegg, it depends. If it is something they can put in an envelope...they will use DHL+USPS. If it is a box, it will be UPS.

Also, anti-newegg bot, HA. I've probably ordered 3x as much stuff on Newegg as Amazon. I just don't see why Newegg even uses DHL...if they just used USPS it would be faster and cheaper as DHL uses USPS to deliver!

What happened to the packages that didn't arrive? I haven't had any problems with either company & generally UPS is good with the egg.

I've only had one package not arrive, from Amazon. They replaced it with 1 day free shipping the very next day.

All of my Newegg packages have arrived without issue.

One thing I do like about Amazon over Newegg...free return shipping if the item is in some way defective. Not so with Newegg. Of course, Newegg has a way better tech selection, so I use each for what they are best at. Motherboard...Newegg. Game...Amazon
