happy nightmares

Begin rant.
-----------
Electronic Arts continues to show they have no clue how to bring people together online. They make great sports games, but then ruin them with horrible menus and interfaces, unreliable network play and servers, and the failure to even support their game's basic features, like 6 on 6 play in NHL09 with human goalies. NHL09 is the best sports game I've ever played, but the connectivity issues are ridiculous. You can't have 10-12 players in a game without crashing, and voice chat is among the worst of any game. I still play NHL09 every day because I love the game, but I'm so tired of the EA network issues.
Well, now they have done it again.... this time with the new Tiger Woods 2010.
After spending two days trying to get private games to be recognized with friends, we give up. FIVE different people have tried, in 3 different states. The menu system itself is horrible, but that's not the biggest problem. The real problem is getting the games to simply SHOW UP. You can be in the same room with your friends, one of you sets up a game... and NONE of the other people can see it or join it. It's ridiculous. And it doesn't matter if you set up Ranked or not.
Wow... seriously... EA. BIG thumbs down.
