It's hard to tell from your pic's, but it looks like you might be sitting in the middle of the room. If so, that is the worst spot in the room for bass. Does the bass sound better elsewhere in the room? If so, can you move your seating? 3/5 of the long dimension is a good place to start.

Here's some good reading:

How does the bass sound in other spots than couch? More pic's wouldn't hurt.

Let's check something else. Have you calibrated your system? What receiver do you have? Does it have any auto-setup capability? What are your Bass Management settings?
Speaker Size?
Crossover settings?
Double Bass On/Off?

What are the settings on the sub itself?

I have a pioneer VSX-918V receiver
I do have a automatic setup ,and used it
speaker size set to small
crossover set to 80
sub volume set to 10 oclock
sub crossover set to receiver
my main speakers are the HSU VT-12'S
BASS level set to 0
LFE SET TO 0

"sub crossover set to receiver"
Does that means the crossover on the back of the sub is set to "Out"?

"BASS level set to 0"
Is that the subwoofer trim setting in the receiver?

Try raising the subwoofer trim level by 3 dB. Hsu even suggests doing this in the manual.

If that doesn't work, and the sub till sounds weak everywhere in the room, I suggest you call Hsu and let them know about the issue. Also, you can contact Pete Hsu on the forum. Just search for his username and PM him.

Good luck.
