My room is 14x13x8 and i am wanting a sub that is both articulate for music but also delivers the slam for movies.
i have on order a MFW 15 but am getting tired of waiting.

What other subs are about the same price and are good for music and HT?

I am leaning towards the HSU MK subs right now.

Should i stick it out with a123?

I also looked at some of the ED subs..but some of the reviews seem to hint great for HT but not so great for music?

The HSU choices would be my pick, they get very good feedback for the articulation and musical abilities as well as HT. The VTF2 MK3 is in your price range and should have no problems with that size area. The SVS PB12 NSD is also in your price range a good choice and will likely get you a little more output down low. It's current driver has been said to be much better with music than the previous one.

Not going to touch that one with a 10 foot pole. The only positive that can be said is a working MFW is a awesome sub and the performance vs price ratio if outstanding. There is loads and loads of information here as well as other forums concerning everything else. You'll have to come to your own conclusion on that question.

Some models get better feedback than others for the musical ability. I've never personally heard anything from them other than the original version A2-300. They are a excellent value though expecially when you factor in included shipping.

I can't tell you in comparison and don't know of anyone who has compared them both, with the latest PB12NSD driver, you might find someone in one of the dedicated threads. I would venture to say you'd be very happy with either. They are both quality subs from excellent companies.
