ProjectSHO89 06-20-09, 07:55 PM Has anyone tried this "meter" to peak DTV antennas? Yes. Don't bother (usually). If you already know where your transmitters are and can read a compass, you don't need it. Use your CECB or DTV's tuner function and use that to peak your adjustment. It's UHF only. It cannot discriminate between different channels. Unless you already have a signal of 60 dBuV (0 dBmV), it won't register anything. It then has three additional LEDs in 10 dBmv increments. So, if you're in a weak signal area, you have to use the output of your pre-amp for it to register anything (if the signal is even strong enough). It's a really inexpensive substitute for a a real signal level meter. It can, however, help someone who is confused as to the direction of their local towers and cannot read a map or a compass.
