You might want to provide some more details to your problem but it sounds like your optical drive is starting to fail (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=992845) and you should probably begin to back up your HDD and call sony.

ty for your reply i think my ps3 got hot it was left on over night by the grand kids then i tryed to load a game in and it will not load....all other functions seem to work. tryed leaving it off for a fed hours to cool off but still dosent load up.

Sounds like the optical drive, indeed. Will it read/play PS1 games, DVDs, Blurays, music CDs? My 40gb always got really hot and eventually the drive failed; no idea if there is any correlation there. My MGS 80gb bundle has never gotten nearly as hot as the old 40gb.

If it's a 2007 era 40 gb or launch 20 or 60 gb, yep probably the blu-ray going out. Good news is that it's fixable with a replacement bluray assembly, if you know anyone handy with electronics.

Look at the disc. It's all gummied up with finger crap. Finger prints, finger foods, finger crap, finger bugers, etc. Clean the disc. All is well.
