I haven't been over on the xbox forums in a while, but you do know that there's a "PS3" now, right? :D

I'm wondering if that was a Freudian slip. :D

Darn, I clicked on this thread hoping to vent and commiserate with other users of the almost outdated PS2!

:D

Still playing RB 1 & 2 on the PS2, also have Track Pack 1 and AC/DC for it, all RB1 gear too... In fact, that's all that I play on the PS2. It's all projected in all it's 480p glory onto a 106" screen using a Mits HC1600...

I must say that my RB1 drums are pretty ghetto-looking after my MacGyverish repair/life-prolonging jury-rig, which involves some 2X4s and duct tape! They still work great though, in all their clack-clackity-clack glory!

My daughter just hosted a RB party this last weekend, and the 16+ kids all had a blast, so in this instance the game mechanics seemed to be more important than the rez, etc...

I will probably be able to upgrade to the PS3 in about a year, if I save my lunch money...luckily there's plenty of Lipton soup powder as an alternative...

The Colony Wars series was amazing. The first time you blow up a capital ship is seldom forgotten.

Colony Wars should be like, a no brainer on a modern system. Arcade flight games sell (HAWX and Ace Combat 6).

I actually posted that somewhere else; Are there any great 360/PS3/PC space flight sims around now a days?

The last one I played and thought was good was Klingon Academy, but that was a loooong time ago. Seem the genre has been suffering.

I was blown away they didn't bother to make some sort of Battlestar Galactica themed game when it was out, evenif it was about the first cylon war or something.

I think the *only* one this gen was Project Silpheed, which I hear was take it or leave it. I hated the demo.

Yeah, Colony Wars was pretty awesome. I remember I bought the first PS1 dual-stick controller (the one without vibration) just to play Colony Wars. I can't believe that Colony Wars never made its way to PS2 or PS3.

Too busy rocking the Wipeout franchise, I guess.
